Turnaround and cost

Three speeds, priced up front

Standard

3 to 7 business days

No surcharge

Right for most permits when you have a week or more.

Rush

48 hours, where scope allows

+30%

Letters, beams, decks, solar, correction responses and other focused scopes.

Hard deadline

A fixed date we commit to

+50%

Your project is scheduled around your date, and we confirm it in writing.

If your date is not achievable we say so before you pay, rather than taking the job and missing it. Review time at the building department is outside anyone's control, so we make sure the set is complete and correct the first time.

How we hit a date

What happens after you send it

  1. You send everything at once. Photos, plans, the city letter and the date you need.
  2. We confirm the date in writing. A licensed engineer checks the scope and gives you a yes or no with the price.
  3. Your job is scheduled first. One engineer owns it from start to finish, with no hand-offs.
  4. Delivery and follow-up. Sealed PDFs by the agreed date, and priority answers if the city has questions.

To start fastest, send

  • The date you need the drawings, and why
  • Project address
  • Photos of the area, inside and out
  • Any plans, sketches or CAD files you have
  • The city's comment letter, if you have one

Missing something? Send what you have now. We will tell you exactly what else we need.

FAQs

Rush questions

How fast can you deliver rush permit drawings?

Rush delivery is typically 48 hours where the scope allows, such as an engineering letter, a deck, a beam or a correction response. Larger multi-discipline sets take longer. We confirm the exact date in writing before you pay.

What does rush cost?

Rush is +30% on the normal fee. A hard deadline, where we commit to a fixed date, is +50%. Standard turnaround of 3 to 7 business days has no surcharge.

What if my deadline is not possible?

We tell you before you pay. We would rather say no than take the job and miss your date.

Can you answer city correction comments quickly?

Yes. Send the comment letter and the plan set. We answer comments on drawings we produced, and can review and respond to comments on other sets as a separate scope.

Can you speed up the city review itself?

No one can control plan review at the building department. We make sure the set is complete and correct so it is not sent back, and some cities offer paid expedited review that we can point you to.
