Licensed PE engineering you can build on, in 48 states
US Permit Drawings connects contractors, architects, designers, and homeowners with licensed Professional Engineers for stamping, calculations, and permit-ready drawings, wherever in the country the project is located.
How we work
Every project is assigned to a licensed Professional Engineer for direct review, not run through an automated template. That engineer checks the scope against the applicable building code, prepares or verifies the calculations, and applies their PE stamp and seal once the work is ready for submission in the project's state.
Because we work with engineers licensed across the country, we can take on projects in any of the 48 states without asking you to wait on a single local reviewer's schedule.
What that means for you
- ✓ A real engineering review, every time
- ✓ Coverage in all 48 states
- ✓ Standard turnaround of 3-7 business days
- ✓ One point of contact from intake to final sealed deliverable
The right engineer for your state and your discipline
We have been preparing and sealing permit drawings since 2016. Engineering licenses are issued state by state and discipline by discipline, so we do not put one name on every job. Each project is matched to a professional licensed in your project's state and in the discipline the work needs: a Professional Engineer for structural, civil and MEP work, and a licensed architect where your jurisdiction requires an architect's seal.
- ✓ The engineer's name and license number are shared on request, before you approve the quote.
- ✓ The same name and license number appear on the seal of every sheet they sign.
- ✓ When a project needs more than one discipline, each one is sealed by a professional licensed for it.
- ✓ You can check any license yourself on the state licensing board's public lookup.

Frequently asked questions about our engineers
Who seals my drawings, and can I check their license?
Each project is matched to a professional licensed in your project's state and in the discipline the work needs. The engineer's name and license number are shared on request before you approve the quote, and you can check any license on the state licensing board's public lookup.
About our engineers →Can an engineer from another state stamp my drawings?
Generally no. Engineers are licensed state by state, and a license in one state does not carry over to another. The engineer who seals your drawings should be licensed in the state where the project will be built.
Read: out-of-state engineers →What is a PE stamp, and when do I need one?
A PE stamp is the seal and signature of a licensed Professional Engineer, applied to drawings or calculations they have reviewed and take responsibility for. Building departments commonly require one for structural work such as load-bearing wall removal, additions, foundations and retaining walls. Your jurisdiction decides what your project needs.
Which states do you cover?
We prepare permit drawings for projects in 48 states. Requirements change from state to state and often from city to city, so we confirm what your building department asks for before drafting.
Requirements by state →Do you guarantee my permit will be approved?
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Final permit acceptance is always at the discretion of the local jurisdiction. What we control is the quality of the engineering and documentation: we prepare sealed, code-compliant plans and respond to correction comments on work we produced.
