Overview
These terms govern your use of this website and the engineering services described on it. By submitting a project, contacting us, or using this site, you agree to these terms.
Scope of services
US Permit Drawings coordinates civil and structural engineering review, calculations, permit drawings, and PE stamping/sealing for projects submitted to us. The specific scope, deliverables, and price for your project are confirmed in writing (by email) before work begins.
No guarantee of permit approval
We prepare and, where applicable, seal documents to the best of our professional judgment against the codes and requirements we understand to apply to your project. Final review and approval of any permit application rests entirely with the local building department or Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). We do not guarantee that any jurisdiction will approve a submission.
Client responsibilities
- Provide accurate project information, site conditions, and any existing drawings
- Confirm the specific jurisdiction where the project will be permitted
- Review draft documents promptly so revisions can be made before finalization
Turnaround times
Turnaround estimates (such as 3 to 7 business days) describe a typical timeframe for straightforward, single-discipline residential scopes once we have everything needed to begin work. Complex, multi-discipline, or unusually large projects may take longer; we will tell you an honest estimate for your specific project before you commit.
Revisions
Reasonable revisions requested by the local plan-review authority on the original scope of work are addressed as part of the project. Changes to the project scope itself, or revisions requested after final sealed documents have been issued, may be quoted separately. See our Refund & Revision Policy for details.
Limitation of liability
Our liability in connection with any project is limited to the fees paid for that project. We are not liable for delays, costs, or damages arising from jurisdictional review timelines, site conditions not disclosed to us, or third-party actions outside our control.
Payment terms
We provide a written scope and fixed price by email before any work begins. Nothing is charged until you approve that quote.
- 30 per cent to start: due on approval of the written scope and price, before work begins.
- 30 per cent at preview: due when we share the drawing preview for your review, before the set is finalised.
- 40 per cent on delivery: due after final delivery of the signed and sealed files.
- Invoicing: invoices are sent by email with a secure payment link.
- Accepted methods: Visa, Mastercard and American Express, bank transfer or ACH, PayPal, Zelle, wire transfer, and check.
Quoted fees cover the scope agreed in writing. Work requested outside that scope is quoted separately and confirmed before it begins. Rush and hard-deadline surcharges, where selected, are shown in the quote.
If a project is cancelled after work has begun, you are invoiced only for the portion completed, as set out in our refund and revision policy.
