Frequently asked questions about Restaurant Build-Out Plans
What is the hardest part of a restaurant permit?
Usually the kitchen exhaust. Hood type, makeup air, fire suppression and duct routing all have to agree with each other and with the equipment schedule, and inspectors check this closely.
Do I need separate health department approval?
In most jurisdictions yes, and it is a separate review from the building permit. We prepare the drawings so both reviews can work from the same set.
Can you work from my equipment supplier list?
Yes, and it is the fastest way to start. Send the cut sheets or equipment schedule and we design the utilities and ventilation around the actual equipment.
